The Catherine B. Reynolds Civil War Washington Teacher Fellows

Join up to 20 teachers to learn about Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass and Washington during the Civil War as you spend a day at each of these fascinating sites! 

Session 2 (Boarders, all grades): Evening of Sunday, July 13 to Friday, July 18, 2014

As part of our six-day program, you will:


Come away from your week in Washington familiar with: an array of virtual tours, the oratory skills to get your students on their feet performing speeches by Lincoln and Douglass; comfortable taking students on content-driven experiential learning adventures; and excited about using a wide range of primary sources in your classroom!

  • $1,000 registration fee includes a single room for 6 nights at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel and a round trip ticket on American Airlines
  • $600 registration fee includes a shared room and round trip ticket
  • Fees include workshops, materials, breakfast and lunch each day
  • All Fellows are eligible to obtain 3 graduate credit hours through Trinity University for an additional $375
